SoundProof Legal requires a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, or M4 chip) running macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.

Does the app require an internet connection?

No. SoundProof Legal runs 100% offline. All transcription, speaker identification, and OCR processing happens locally on your Mac's Neural Engine.

What audio and video formats are supported?

SoundProof Legal supports common formats including MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, MOV, and most other formats that macOS can play natively.

How accurate is the transcription?

Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality. For clear recordings, expect 90-95% accuracy. SoundProof generates rough draft transcripts intended for review and editing.
